The nominations are in and while Avatar and The Hurt Locker were well-represented to exactly no one's surprise, the addition of another sci-fi gem and a few dark horses in the supporting actor and adapted screenplay categories means this year's Oscars could be full of surprises, not to mention a battle of the exes as former spouses James Cameron and Kathryn Bigelow are both up for directing nods.
