From Watchmen to X-Men and Superman to Batman, there's a mad rush of comic book characters making their way to the big screen. And while Transformers may best be remembered as the wildly popular toys that every 80's child had to have, they also starred in their very own comic before becoming a mega-blockbuster film franchise. So with all the caped crusaders, robotic warriors and brooding do-gooders lighting up your local marquee, we want to know which comic book movie stands head and shoulders above the rest for you?

Wait, isn't Transformers based on the Hasbro toy? So obviously lots of people love it, but does it really count in this poll? And besides, Watchmen kicks the most a** out of all these adaptations :)

I've loved so many of these movies...but it's really a toss up between Iron Man and The Dark Knight for me. I don't care how good the transition from comic to screen is - if you don't have a quality script and awesome actors, I'm not interested! And RDJ and Heath Ledger brought it.

Just because they base a comic book on a toy line, it doesn't make the movie a comic book movie.
I agree that Ghost World should be there, but my all-time favourite adaptation is Sin City. Watchmen comes close.

By far the best comic book to movie adaptation is "GHOST WORLD". Absolute beautiful movie. Next would have to be 300, and Watchmen. It's nice to see a real adaptation from comic to movie.
