Johnny Depp as the Madhatter

- Burton's wonderful Wonderland! Take a look at the very first concept images from Tim Burton's take on the classic fairytale, Alice in Wonderland. This is going to be one seriously gorgeous film.

- From Fight Club to Facebook! David Fincher, known for his gritty, unflinching cinematic classics like Fight Club, Se7en and, um, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, is considering signing on for a movie adaptation of the story of Facebook. According to Variety, Fincher is "in advanced talks" with Columbia Pictures to direct a film that shows the evolution of the globally-recognized social networking site from its humble 2004 creation by Harvard sophomores Mark Zuckerberg and Eduardo Saverin to its current zeitgeist status. The script is, encouragingly, being written by Aaron Sorkin (he of “The West Wing” fame) under the current tile The Social Network and, according to online mobve blog SlashFilm, will be an adaptation of Ben Mezrich’s upcoming book The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, a Tale of Sex, Money, Genius and Betrayal. Production on the film is set to begin later this year. Would you watch a Facebook movie? Share your thoughts in the comments!

- Zac Efron is growing up The former Mr. Teen Song and Dance is shedding the youthful shackles of his Disney-fied rise to fame and has signed on for what's being described as a 'sexy thriller' for Mandate Pictures. Although plot details have yet to be revealed, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Efron will step into exec-producer's shoes and continue his transition to leading man. The film is being written by Leslie Dixon, who also wrote the screenplay for the Efron flick Hairspray as well as Freaky Friday and Just Like Heaven, although no director has been attached to the project.

- MTV wants to bring Teen Wolf to TV Amongst eight projects that MTV has greenlit for development, one stands out as especially intriguing. From bringing Jamie Foxx back to the small screen with a 21st century version of “In Living Color”, commissioning Audrina Patridge's (“The Hills”) new reality show as well as an animated half-hour comedy from SNL's Seth Meyers, MTV is toying with the idea of re-working the classic 1985 Michael J. Fox starrer Teen Wolf into a series format "with a greater emphasis on romance, horror and werewolf mythology," according to Variety. Hmm, wonder if the current vampire/mythological creature craze has anything to do with the timing of this proposed revamp? Something tells me the answer is yes.
