-- Move over ScarJo, Woody wants Carla At the premiere of his latest film Whatever Works, Oscar winning director Woody Allen revealed that the real-life personality he'd like to work with on a film project would be none other than France's first lady, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy. The model-turned-singer-turned-president's-wife has never acted before but did appear as herself in the 1994 fashion exposé Pret-a-Porter. Regardless of her lack of experience, Allen seems to have a rather high opinion of the French stunner: "I'm sure she'd be marvelous. She has charisma and is used to being in front of people. I'd give her any role." Although he hasn't pitched his casting dream to Bruni-Sarkozy, when asked about the rumour that he's been invited to the Elysées Palais (aka the French President's pad) for a private weekend dinner by the man himself Nicolas Sarkozy, he replied "chances are good."

-- Spotted: Gossip Girl sex tape Leighton Meester, who stars as the conniving Blair Waldorf on the hit TV show “Gossip Girl”, is apparently the star of her very own sex tape. TMZ.com reports that the tape is currently being shopped around and the girl in the video bears an uncanny resemblance to the 23-year-old starlet, who is seen getting intimate with her then-boyfriend. No comment from the Meester camp just yet.

-- Head NXNE this weekend The 15th annual festival that bring together music, films and multi-form conferences - the Wu-Tang Clan's GZA is even a featured guest this year – has descended on Toronto in full force. With over 500 bands playing in the span of five days, don't be surprised if you notice a surplus of beat-up vans and bearded fellas around town. With a robust screening schedule that includes 30 films, we suggest making a list and checking it twice if you want to make the most out of your NXNE experience. Highlights include the Canadian premiere of music doc Depeche Mode: The Posters Came from the Wall , about the seminal '80s band’s dedicated fanbase. Also making its debut on Canuck soil is Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison , the classic performance that cemented his status as a legendary artist. Shorts, experimental fare and documentaries round out NXNE’s cinematic content. The festival runs until June 21.
