- Ford tops Forbes’ list! Forbes Magazine released its annual list of the top earners in Hollywood today and guess who ended up in first place? Indiana Jones himself, Harrison Ford, came out on top after earning a staggering $64.95 million over the past year – largely due to his starring role in the fourth Indy film which raked in over $750 million worldwide. Rounding out the exclusive top five were Adam Sandler ($54.9 million), Will Smith ($45 million), and Eddie Murphy and Nicolas Cage ($39.9 million each). And they say the economy is in trouble. Not for everyone, apparently!
- Twilight leads Teen Choice nominees It will come as a surprise to no one that Twilight racked up the most 2009 Teen Choice Awards nominations, with an impressive 12 nods. The film is up for top honours in the Romance and Drama categories and its two stars, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, are in the running for Choice Actor and Actress in a Drama respectively. High School Musical 3: Senior Year was close behind with a total of 10 nominations including Choice Music/Dance Movie, Choice Music/Dance Movie Actor (Zac Efron), and Choice Music/Dance Movie Actress (Vanessa Hudgens). Other nominees included Miley Cyrus, Blake Lively, Megan Fox, Beyonce, Chace Crawford, Taylor Kitsch, and The Jonas Brothers. That musical trio will also act as hosts for the event which will air live around the world on August 10.
- Bradley Cooper meets Mr. T It’s official! Fresh off his success in The Hangover, Bradley Cooper confirmed to MTV that he has signed on to star in the upcoming A-Team big screen adaptation. Despite denying rumours of his involvement with the project, the 34-year-old is set to take on the role of Lieutenant Templeton Peck, a role made famous by actor Dirk Benedict in the popular ‘80s series. No other actors have committed to the film but Bruce Willis, Common and Liam Neeson have all been mentioned in connection with the action flick, scheduled to hit theatres sometime in 2010.
