Katie Holmes

-- Katie Holmes thinks she can dance? Apparently Mrs. Tom Cruise is wont to put on some dancing shoes and tappa-tappa-tappa across the stage of Fox's hugely successful dancing show. Life & Style Magazine reported that Katie Holmes met with "So You Think You Can Dance" judge/producer Nigel Lythgoe in an LA dance studio last weekend with the hopes of appearing on the show either this season or next - oh yes, there will be a next. Holmes has already proven she's got the moves when she guested on ABC's "Eli Stone" last year and performed a steamy song-and-dance number and her stint on Broadway in Arthur Miller's All My Sons proved that she's nothing if not versatile. Between you and me, I'm VERY curious about this one...

-- Rihanna must testify in Chris Brown case Though she managed to avoid court appearances in her ex-boyfriend's assault case, Rihanna has been subpoenaed for the June 22 hearing, People.com reports. Her lawyer, Donald Etra confirmed the news, saying: "If the preliminary hearing indeed goes forward, she is now legally required to be there, she will be there, and will answer all questions truthfully." Brown, 20, has pleaded not guilty to two felony counts following the alleged February 8th assault, which famously took place over Grammy weekend, where both artists were nominated for awards. The hearing will determine if there is enough evidence to bring the case to trial, with Rihanna's testimony poised to play a key part. Both camps have been rather hush over the matter, unsurprisingly, but Brown resurfaced recently, appearing in a YouTube video and telling his fans he "ain't a monster."

-- Hugh Grant hits paparazzi where it hurts The British actor, who's had his share of public scandals, was leaving New York's Waverly Inn Tuesday night, when the paparazzi came at him with their bulbs flashing. At first a somewhat jovial Grant exchanged barbs with the paps, including calling one a virgin, but quickly became annoyed and kicked the cameraman - reportedly in the groin. The pap, shocked, shouted back: "That wasn't cool. What the f--k is your problem? I was trying to be a nice guy. I was trying to help you find a cab." This isn't the first time Grant has had a run-in with those persistent shutterbugs - he allegedly threw a can of baked beans at a London photog in 2007.
