- Twilight takes a bite out of the MTV Movie Awards. To the surprise of no one, the vamp love story cleaned up at the annual L.A. movie gala. The fan favourite won a total of five awards including Best Film, Best Fight, Breakthrough Performance (Male) for Robert Pattinson, Best Female Performance for Kristen Stewart, and the coveted Best Kiss honour. The ceremony also saw stars Pattinson, Stewart and Taylor Lautner introduce the highly-anticipated world premiere trailer for the film’s sequel, New Moon. The show’s other award winners included Ashley Tisdale and Zac Efron for High School Musical 3: Senior Year, Amy Poehler for Baby Mama, Miley Cyrus for Hannah Montana: The Movie, Heath Ledger for The Dark Knight, Jim Carrey for Yes Man and Ben Stiller, who received a lifetime achievement award. The event was hosted by SNL funnyman Andy Samberg and featured musical performances by Eminem and Kings of Leon.

- Eminem storms out of MTV Movie Awards. Twilight wasn’t the only name making headlines at the event in L.A. The temperamental rapper and occasional actor stormed out of the film awards in anger after an incident with comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, in full-out Bruno mode. The rapper had already performed on stage and was sitting in the audience watching the show when the outrageous artist (known for the shock nature of his comedy) flew overhead in a dove outfit (complete with wings), then fell upside down with his naked backside in Eminem’s face. The 8 Mile star let loose with a string of profanity as his entourage struggled to untangle the unlikely twosome. Although the rapper initially appeared to be in on the gag, the uproarious laughter in the auditorium quickly died out when it became apparent the star wasn’t in on the joke.

- Franco and McBride go medieval on Portman. Pineapple Express co-stars James Franco and Danny McBride are planning to work together again, this time as royal brothers alongside Natalie Portman in a medieval comedy penned by McBride. The film, currently titled Your Highness, is set to start shooting in Ireland next month.

- 007 sucks? A survey of 1000 UK women says he does...but not in the way you'd think. Current Bond actor Daniel Craig has topped a poll as the coolest guy in Britain, beating out some heavy competition from actors like Jude Law and Hugh Grant. In honour of his victory, food company Del Monte has moulded a iced lollypop in the actor's likeness for his fans to enjoy. The limited edition Superfruit Smoothie treat, which comes in three different flavours, will be sold during the U.K.'s National Ice Cream Week. I'm pretty sure there are many fans who'd love to get their hands on Craig, but I'm also fairly sure this isn't what they had in mind. I guess beggars can't be choosers.
