Which Robert Downey Jr. role is your favourite?

Since his box-office-busting summer as Tony Stark in the wildly successful Iron Man and as Kirk Lazarus in the popular Tropic Thunder, Robert Downey Jr. has become the new poster boy for a successful Hollywood comeback. But was he really ever gone? A second generation industry player, RDJ has had one of the most documented up and down careers in recent memory but through all the drama - drug charges, court appearances and tabloid scrutiny - he has consistently managed to entertain us with some of the best characters ever put on TV and film. Not every story or script was always award-worthy but he is one of those rare actors who has the ability to elevate every project he's a part of (see also Morgan Freeman).

And until he wows us again in Iron Man 2 and Sherlock Holmes, let us know which of Robert Downey Jr.’s characters is your favourite!

And it would seem that RDJ's portrayal of magnate-turned-superhero Tony Stark is the one that struck a chord with audiences. Glad to know I'm not the only one with May 7, 2010 (aka when Iron Man 2 hits theatres) circled in red on my calendar! I guess I'll see you guys in line!

    • Love him as Harry Lockhart in KKBB but some of his supporting roles are pretty awesome too - Zodiac and Good Night & Good Luck!
