The movie business is a hard industry to break into as an actor at the best of times but what if you're already a well-established singing or rapping superstar? That star-power seemingly gets some big names through doorways that would otherwise remain shut to fellow struggling thespians. But do most singers wanting to make the transition from albums to films have the necessary talent and screen presence to win over a new audience? After all, for every Jennifer Hudson success story, there's a Mariah Carey big-budget flop. Then there are the actors who decide they want to try their hand at singing (Lohan, I'm looking at you!) but that's a whole other rant/discussion.

So with a host of singers and rappers hitting the big screen in big roles over the next few weeks (Beyonce in Obsessed, will.i.am in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and Common in Terminator Salvation) and the news that Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs has a role in the new Jason Segel/Nicolas Stoller comedy Get Him to the Greek, we throw it over to you to decide who's the real double threat and who should just stick to their day job.

    • Obviously its Common [Smokin' Aces], Combs[Rasin In The Sun] and Timberlake[AlphaDog and LoveGuru (The only good thing about that film)].
All three have shown the chops for real roles.
