Samanthan Ronson and Lindsay Lohan

--LiLo & Sam call it quits...Lindsay Lohan is in the news again - shocking, right? This time the 22-year-old sometimes-actress is making headlines for taking a "break" from her girlfriend (DJ Samantha Ronson). The couple, who officially announced their relationship last September, have been dodging break-up rumours for the past few months after being caught numerous times fighting in public by their ever-present paparazzi shadow. Lindsay told E! News about the split, citing her need to focus on herself as the main reason for the break-up, but just this past weekend the starlet was banned from a Ronson family event, so who knows what's really going on. I give it a week before they’re back together and appearing on a tabloid cover near you.

--Be careful what you watch..Fox News entertainment columnist Roger Friedman stirred up plenty of online controversy when he posted a review of the leaked, and incomplete, version of 20th Century Fox's Wolverine in advance of its May 1 release date. In his posting, published Thursday, Friedman offered that downloading the illegal copy was "so much easier than going out in the rain" and felt the superhero prequel "exceeds expectations at every turn." Despite the fairly favourable words, Friedman's review of stolen material didn't sit well with parent company News Corp., since leaked downloads can spell significant financial losses. After 10 years together, a statement released Monday confirmed that "Fox News representatives and Roger Friedman...mutually agreed to part ways immediately."

--Kumar Goes to the White House?...Kal Penn, best-known for playing the toke-happy Kumar alongside his fellow pothead Harold (John Cho) in the aptly-titled Harold and Kumar series is leaving his current stint as Dr. Lawrence Kutner on the hit medical drama “House” to work for a man who's a celebrity in his own right - Barack Obama. Penn has been offered a position as Associate Director in the White House's Office of Public Liaison & Intergovernmental Affairs and he's accepted. His character was written off “House” on Monday's episode, and although he still loves acting, he sees work in the political arena as being too good to pass up. Penn told Entertainment Weekly: "I love what I do as an actor. I couldn't love it more. But probably from the time I was a kid, I really enjoyed that balance between the arts and public service. I thought this might be the right time to go off and do something else." Godspeed, Kumar.
