Miley Cyrus and Jamie Foxx

-- Was it something I said? Likening his Sirius satellite radio show “The Foxxhole” to Howard Stern's famously lewd programming, Jamie Foxx told Jay Leno his intentions weren't malicious when he recently ranted about tween queen Miley Cyrus. When a caller started lambasting Cyrus for her comments following a Radiohead snub at the Grammys, Foxx claimed not to know who she was, then asked if she was "the one with all the gums" and followed with some fatherly advice: "...make a sex tape and grow up. Get like Britney Spears and do some heroin. Do like Lindsay Lohan and start seeing a lesbian and get some crack in your pipe. Catch chlamydia on a bicycle seat." Appearing on The Tonight Show Tuesday night, Foxx was remorseful, apologizing for his harsh words and clarifying that, as a comedian, he's looking for big laughs and doesn't necessarily mean what he says. Convenient, no?

-- Harry Potter changes release date, again Muggles rejoice - Harry Potter is now coming to a theatre near you sooner than expected. Ok, it may be only two days difference, but since the sixth installment of the boy/man wizard adventures has been pushed back from its original fall release date, even an extra 48 hours is something to celebrate. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince joins other big-name July releases like Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, Public Enemies, Bruno and Funny People, signaling the start of Hollywood's big summer season. Plan ahead and clear your dance card for July 15 now.

-- American Apparel vs Woody Allen: Them's fighting words After American Apparel used an apparently unsolicited image of Woody Allen in one of their billboard ads a few years back, the famed director sued the hipster clothing company for (US)$10 million for using a still from his Oscar-winning film Annie Hall. The lawsuit claimed that Allen doesn’t do endorsements in the States and was not contacted by the company for permission. Now AA chief Dov Charney is fighting back through his lawyer Stuart Slotnick, claiming that Allen's image is already tarnished due to his scandalous sexual past and "that he greatly overvalues the worth of his endorsement -- if he can get one." The New York Post quotes from court papers, clarifying that the sex scandal in question is Allen's "relationship with Soon-Yi Previn," whom he married in 1997. The trial is set to begin May 18.

-- P. Diddy, Rose Byrne, Elizabeth Moss and Russell Brand walk onto a movie set… The cast of Get Him to the Greek just got a little bigger. P. Diddy, Rose Byrne and Elizabeth Moss (“Mad Men”) were added to the Forgetting Sarah Marshall spinoff starring British cad Russell Brand as he reprises the role of wild rocker Aldous Snow. Jonah Hill co-stars as a young insurance adjuster tasked with getting the musician to the famed Greek Theatre in LA. Diddy will play, wait for it, a record executive, while the typically dour Byrne will star as Aldous' equally brash former lover Jackie Q. (think Courtney Love). Sarah Marshall lenser Nicolas Stoller will take on writing and directing duties and Jason Segel, who starred in and wrote the original, has written music for the film. Is anyone else really stoked for this movie, or is it just me?
