Valentine's Day contest

Thanks for all your entries and for sharing your best, and worst, Valentine's Day memories. We enjoyed them all but there can only be one winner and that honour goes to tippycanoe!

Congratulations!

Almost 9 yrs ago my hubby and i shared our 1st valentine's day together, he lived with roommates who didn't pay their part of the electricity bill, so we spent a romantic evening by candlelight listening to an enya cd via a battery operated boombox, sharing a small tub of my fav gourmet ice cream. A mortgage and a baby later, we still celebrate valentine's day with ice cream.

Love it or hate it, Valentine’s Day is around the corner and we’ve all had our share of memorable moments – some that touched our hearts or had us bolting for the door – on that annual occasion dedicated to all things love and like.

Now we want to hear about your MOST memorable Valentine’s Day!

It’s simple: log on as a mycineplex member and tell us, in 500 words or less, about a V-day story for the ages. The winning entry, to be chosen by the Cineplex.com editorial team, comes with a $100 shopping spree at the Cineplex store – and of course, bragging rights.

You can only enter once, so make it count. Don’t delay – contest ends Tuesday, February 17.

    • Let me tell you what I bought my neighbor-Red Boxers, that's right, underwear because he was planning to buy me a snow blower. So I got an accessory.Underwear to be worn when blowing snow.It will be fun watching him roaring up and down the driveway, framed poetically by the cascading crystals all different and unique like he will be in his boxers. So I spent valentine laughing.................

    • Though I'd planned to-I couldn't do it on Valentine's day as I work shiftwork. So, it happened a week later-proposing to my girlfriend in a hot air balloon on an early, frosty February morning. The whole ballon ride and proposal caught her completely by surprise!
That was 17 years ago and we're still going strong. She saved the certificate from the ballon ride and still has that too.

    • I was greeted later in the day with a bouquet of flowers with a card. And this is what my husband wrote to me on this special day "I give to you 12 red roses to represent my love for the past 12 years, if any of these roses die, are love will die to". My husband put in 10 real rose and two fake red roses. Are love will never die.
