Zoolander

Get ready for another look at the otherworldly gaze that is Blue Steel, as Ben Stiller is set to make a Zoolander sequel.

According to WENN, Stiller, who worked triple duty as writer-director-star on the 2001 comedy, will revisit the role of Derek Zoolander, the vapid but ridiculously good-looking male model who disrupts a brainwashing scheme at the manicured hands of Derelict designer Mugatu.

"I've been trying to get Zoolander 2 together and we've had a few scripts," revealed Stiller. "I feel that is the sequel I really would like to do some day because I like the original and I would make sure it was something new and worthy of it first."

The film also boasted a top-tier cast of bold name stars including Owen Wilson as model-of-the-moment Hansel, Will Ferrell as the outrageous designer/international agitator, Stiller's real-life wife Christine Taylor, Milla Jovovich, Stiller's father Jerry Stiller, Jon Voight, David Duchovny, David Bowie and a handful of cameos by Hollywood's beautiful people.

Though the film only went on to gross $45 million (US), it enjoyed a second life on DVD and proved a comedic jumping-off point for both Wilson and Ferrell, who had yet to become household names.

Stiller is also planning a third installment of his hugely successful Meet the Parents franchise and will be seen in another sequel, Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian, when it hits theatres next summer.
