Mark Ruffalo’s brother dies in hospital

The brother of actor Mark Ruffalo has died a week after he was shot in the head, according to People.com.

Scott Ruffalo, 39, a Beverly Hills hairdresser, died late Monday night at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles - the same day the suspect in the shooting turned herself in.

After Beverly Hills police issued an attempted murder warrant for her arrest, Shaha Mishaal Adham, 26, turned herself in and is being held without bail. Brian Scofield, a "person of interest", also showed up at the police station and was booked on a misdemeanor traffic warrant.

Scott Ruffalo, Mark's younger brother, was married to Luzelena Ruffalo, and was stepfather to her daughter, Lucinda.

Both Mark and Scott grew up in Kenosha, Wisconsin before relocating with their family to San Diego and later L.A. Mark, known for his roles in You Can Count on Me, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Zodiac and Blindness, also has two sisters.

There has been no comment from the actor about his brother since the tragedy began last week.
