Joining the familiar, sun-kissed and seasoned faces on Beverly Hills 2.0 is none other than everyone's fave, goodie-two-shoes side-burned twin, Brandon Walsh.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Jason Priestley, the Canadian star of the original “Beverly Hills, 90210” teen soap, will take a seat behind the camera and direct the 18th episode of The CW's revamped show.
As most channel-surfers are well aware, old-school alums like Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty have already appeared on a handful of episodes as a guidance counsellor and theatre director, respectively. Their reunion has bolstered considerable hype for the new “90210”, due mostly to their fiery encounters on the set of the original series.
But the adolescent dust seems to have settled, according to Garth. Speaking to EW about her experiences working with Doherty again, she had only good things to say about their time together and even revealed that she saw potential for the two to be friends in the future.
Their burgeoning friendship may blossom sooner than later, with both Garth and Doherty rumoured to be reprising their short-lived roles on the new series, though sources are quick to point out that nothing is official.
Despite a lack of confirmation, even the mere prospect of having Brenda, Brandon and Kelly all under one posh roof is sure to get the blogosphere humming.
Would you like to see the old-school Bev Hills troupe together again? What did you think of Jennie and Shannen's return to the show? Are you even watching the new “90210”?
