Courteney Cox is a cougar

Courteney Cox is headed back to prime time - again, reports Reuters.
The “Friends” alum has signed on to star in - wait for it - “Cougar Town”, and it's exactly what you're thinking.
Cox will play an attractive and newly-single mother of a 17-year-old son who is navigating the dating and motherhood terrain in an honest and revealing way, according to series creator Bill Lawrence.
"Forty-year-old women on TV are so beautiful and perfect and wrinkle-free,” said Lawrence. “People don't do the reality of it, and there is a real comedy area about a woman who is talking about Botox, about having sex with the lights on and how her body is changing."
Lawrence, the man behind NBC's long-running medical comedy "Scrubs", first worked with the actress when he served as a writer on "Friends" and approached her for the new ABC show after she guested on three episodes of “Scrubs”, describing her as "comedically fearless."
Inspiration came partly from Lawrence's wife, actress Christa Miller who plays sassy Jordan Sullivan on "Scrubs", and who, at 44, is the same age as Cox.
"Cougar Town" represents Cox's second return to TV, the first being 2007 drama “Dirt”, where she served as executive producer and star, which ran for one season and was abruptly cancelled during the Hollywood writers strike.
The jury is still out, though, on exactly how the stunning and rather ageless Cox is going to represent the realistic side of 40-something women. Hope she likes a challenge.
