Ninja 2

Good ninjas never die. They just wait in silence for ten years until a sequel is approved.

The role made famous by the late Chris Farley is being resurrected by Sony Pictures.

To be written and directed by Mitch Klebanoff of the original film, Beverly Hills Ninja 2 is set to begin filming in South Korea in October, reports ‘Variety’.

Starring David Hasselhoff and Lucas Grabeel (Ryan from High School Musical), the film will be the first Hollywood picture to be shot in South Korea. The film seems to be more of a reboot than a sequel as the plot will revolve around the murder of a martial arts master and his student’s quest to track down his killer.

ATM Motionwide is supervising the production while Sony Pictures Entertainment holds the North American distribution rights.

Sony is looking to release the film in the spring of 2009.
