‘Strangers with Candy’ team reunite for ‘Gym Teacher’

Fans of quirky comedienne/actress/author Amy Sedaris will have another opportunity to see what she and "Strangers with Candy" co-creator Paul Dinello have up their screwball sleeves when they re-team for a Nickelodeon movie.

According to the 'Hollywood Insider,' Dinello specifically sought out Sedaris to join Gym Teacher: The Movie as loopy principal Abby Hoffman based on their previous comedy work together.

Nickelodeon's first original family prime time flick follows disgraced former gymnast turned PE teacher Dave Stewie, played by Christopher Meloni who possesses comedic chops beyond his "Law & Order" day-job, as he attempts to regain power and stature by competing for the title of Gym Teacher of the Year.

Dinello is set to direct while Chelah Horsdal ("The L Word") and Nathan Cress (iCarly) round out the cast.
