Michelle Williams to make film about Ledger

Michelle Williams is reportedly making a personal film about her late actor ex-boyfriend Heath Ledger, for the sake of their daughter.

A source revealed to the 'Australian Daily Telegraph' that Williams wants to ensure her two-year-old daughter, Matilda, knows who her father was, despite their short time together. Williams plans to keep his memory alive and create something her daughter can cherish for the rest of her life by having close friends and contemporaries share stories about the late actor, who died of an accidental drug overdose in January.

The couple met on the set of Brokeback Mountain in 2004, were engaged and had a child together, before separating in 2007, despite remaining close.

Ledger's much-buzzed-about final performance as the Joker in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight opens July 18.
