Dr. Horrible

From the man who brought Sarah Michelle Gellar into your living room for six years as everyone's fave smart-mouthed vampire slayer, comes "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog", the internet event of, well, at least the week.

During the writer's strike, "Angel" and "Firefly" scribe Joss Whedon decided to make use of his unexpected time off and came up with a three-part super villain musical on the cheap, according to his blog, whedonesque.com. Nathan Fillion, who's appeared in various Whedon projects, stars as Captain Hammer, the heroic foil to NPH's (that's Neil Patrick Harris, for the uninitiated) mad Dr. Horrible, a somewhat timid, nerdy villain-on-the-verge who longs to talk to the cute gal (Felicia Day) at the laundromat and gain entry into the Evil League of Evil.

Posted only this morning, the site has already crashed thanks to super-high traffic and is being moved to a different server. Acts two and three will stream on drhorrible.com July 17 and July 19, respectively, and will disappear until they eventually reappear in DVD form.

Get a look now at what's sure to be an ingenious, LOL-inducing Whedon gem.
