Defiance: Defiance, dare I say it shows Daniel Craig pulling off a better performance than he has done in 007!

The movie Defiance follows the true story of the Bielski brothers during World War 2 in Belarussia and Poland. After escaping the raid by the Nazi's on their village, four of the brothers manage to form a refuge in the forested areas, stealing food and arms and offering a shelter for Jews escaping the ghettos and prison camps. Tuvia Bielski (Daniel Craig) and his brother Zus (Liev Schreiber) lead the Jews and help aid them to fight and hide from the German soldiers, teaming up with the Russian military for support. The Bielski's managed to save many lives during the war but many lives were lost and the movie does a good job of showing how terrible life was during that time! Daniel Craig does a really good job in a role that is quite similar, yet the opposite of James Bond, as he's daring and fighting for the side of good but in this role the fighting and survival tactics are realistic with no super weapons and gadgets to aid his character. The film showed that he is quite capable of bringing out any character he plays to make it a memorable performance! I give this film two thumbs up!

Valkyrie: Valkyrie is a great historical movie that'll keep you in suspense even if the outcome is well known!

Everything from the acting, direction, cinematography, music and sound effects make this movie a great film! For a historical film where the outcome is well known, the film surprisingly seems to keep up the suspense factor :-) In the film Tom Cruise portrays Colonel Stauffenberg, who is recruited by a resistance movement within the ranks of the SS who want to see Hitler assassinated so that they can put in place a new leader in hopes of forging peace instead of continuing the war. Stauffenberg comes up with a plan to kill Hitler and enact Operation Valkyrie. I give this film two thumbs up!

Quantum Of Solace: Bond is back in style!

I liked this 007 film a heck of allot more than I did Casino Royale! Daniel Craig is definitely makes one helluva James Bond! This movie has some really fast paced action as 007 tries to find out more about the Quantum organization. The stunts and action scenes are up to par with any other James Bond film and there are lots of them, which makes watching it so enjoyable! The only problem is if you go for one of those large pop and popcorn combos, you'll be wondering what will you miss if you need to rush out to the bathroom during the movie. :-D

Transporter 3: Transporter 3 is a good alternative to Quantum of Solace

I found this movie to be quite entertaining as it had an interesting storyline which didn't go over the top as much as James Bond films do, but the action sure did. It's a good alternative to Quantum Of Solace, although being an action movie fan I chose to see both! >^.-<
