This movie definitely lived up to it's name in keeping the feel the comic and cartoon! This movie had everything, explosive action, a good storyline, with great character development, showing how the unique heroes and villains came to be. The only difference is that it was a little too high tech compared to what I remember, but that's just updating things for the times. At least this time, you don't see a gazillion people parachuting out of airplanes as they're hit. :-D The story follows a select team of G.I. Joe's of Duke, Heavy Duty, Rip Cord, Scarlett, Snake Eyes and Breaker, as they try to stop Cobra from launching four nuclear warheads armed with nanotechnology upon certain cities within the world. Cobra is no slouch this time around, and the baddies such as Destro, Cobra Commander, The Baroness and Storm Shadow are portrayed as highly intelligent and skilled enemies, compared to the bumbling idiots that the tv show sometimes made them out to be. I was surprised not to see some familiar G.I. Joe's and Cobra characters such as Roadblock, GungHo, Lady Jaye, Dial Tone, Doc, Rock 'n Roll, Skystriker, Snow Job, Shipwreck, Wild Bill, Major Blood, or The Crimson Guard in the movie but then again they gotta save some for part 2. The trailers for this movie don't do it justice, and all I can say is go out and see this blockbuster of a movie, and I give it two thumbs up!

Guinea Pigs with high tech espionage equipment that can speak? Geez I just hope that I don't start hearing voices from them in the pet shops now :-D It's a whimsical film, full of silly humor with a bit of action mixed in. The story isn't all that great, but what the movie does have going for it is attitude. The furry characters have lots of personality and in a silly way you can't help but find them cute and lovable. Silly movie for kids or light hearted adults who haven't forgotten their inner child :-P I give this movie one and a three out of four paws up! =^.-=

Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen: Transformers 2 is better than the first movie!

I was hesitant about seeing this movie, after being really disappointed after watching the first Transformers movie by Michael Bay. Being a fan of the show and collector of the toys, I was hoping to see something based on the original generation 1 series, but to sell more toys they went in a different direction. Basically in this movie, Sam Witwhicky has gained incredible knowledge after peering into a fragment of the remains Allspark cube, and only Optimus Prime realizes how important Sam is to the survival of the Autobots and the human race, of which he tries to convince Sam who is reluctant to believe any of this. The Decepticons want to extract that knowledge from Sam and have brought in re-enforcements this time to make sure that they defeat the Autobots! Anyway at least with part two they included some more classic characters. It was nice seeing Jetfire, Soundwave, Ravage and Devastator included in the movie this time, even if they looked quite different than I remember, and this time around there was much more action battles than the last movie. I liked how the writers added in some history this time about the Transformers and Cybertron. Mind you it's different than the original cartoon, but still a nice touch none-the-less. Now if you can ignore the corny attempts at humour in the film, it is very entertaining to watch. Gotta love Bumblebee, and the Autobot twins named Mudflap and Skids! There are lots of explosive battles between the Autobots and the Decepticons and in a Transformers movie, that's what I'd expect to see! Overall this movie does what it was meant to do and that is provide an edge of your seat thrill ride, that is brimming with action sequences. Just don't expect much in a way of a storyline. I give it two paws up as an action movie! =^.-=

Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince: Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince was a very enjoyable film, even if things were left out!

I will say that due to having not read the Harry Potter books, I found this movie quite enjoyable without scrutinizing about the differences between the two story formats. In the movie Harry Potter is called upon by Dumbledore to find out the truth behind an altered memory that he obtained from professor Slughorn long ago. Harry is reluctantly persuaded to gain Slughorn's trust, as Dumbledore insists that knowing the truth will help them unravel more of Tom Riddle aka Voldemort's secrets, thus enabling them to discover a way to stop his fiendish plans before he can destroy Hogwarts. Meanwhile professor Snape takes an unbreakable vow to protect Malfoy from harm as he plans to carry out Voldemort's evil bidding. Now according to my friend who has read all of the book version of this movie, there were many things left out. She said that important bits of Voldemort's history were excluded, scenes would jump too quickly without enough explanation of things like the relationships that the characters like Harry's friends Ron Weasley and Hermione were developing toward one another. She said that the most irksome thing was that there were added scenes in the movie which were not even in the book, which were probably just added to add more action to the film, and those minutes could have been better used to have put in more important scenes instead. Now to give the movie credit where it's due, it must be extremely hard to condense such a large book which could have easily been filmed into two movies. It must have been a really tough choice for the director to make, but I do think that when it comes to something like this he should have consulted more with the fans of the book first, to see what they though should have been included and excluded from the film. Anyway I still really enjoyed watching it, and will recommend watching it. I give it two paws up! =^.^=
