By now, most of Calgary has seen Transformers that wants to. It is an amazing movie, if amazing is checking your mind at the door and watching millions of dollars worth of explosives pulverize large buildings/cars/scenery.

The actors in the second film are really more irrelevant than ever, with dialogue not really making sense and not even being clearly heard (see "large explosions" above). A case in point is Megan Fox as portrayed in this movie. She is absolutely gorgeous, and has definitely won the genetic sweepstakes in this regard. However, does this mean Michael Bay has to film her with a steadi-cam in slow motion, catching her every jiggle as she escapes the robots?

The male in me says yes, it is important to see this. With that being admitted to, I think they could have substituted a robot to play her character, as she is really not being asked to do too much in her movie roles. I think her next few roles such as "Jennifer's Body" will prove if she can actually act, or is she is just a pretty face to put on a one sheet poster. Her interviews have not done anything to illuminate an intellectual side either (see Harry Smith interview on CBS Morning).

Oh well, she is pleasant to look at, I hope she does well.
