Lark is the sometime ally and sometime enemy of The Spirit. Like Denny Colt, Lark was once a cop in Central City but he turned his back on the force to pursue his own form of justice. Unlike The Spirit, Lark's methods are cold and methodical. He tracks down and kills any criminal he can find in Central City but not before robbing them blind. He uses what he steals for his own gain and pleasure. It's Lark's thirst for justice that brings him and The Spirit together as allies but his love for killing and money always ends their alliance with blood and broken bones.
